We are delighted to announce the acquisition of Red Circle Technologies. It marks the coming together of two highly successful Irish companies who address the global mobile content market. The resources of each organisation are very complementary.

Our mobile technology platform will enable the Red Circle services and drive some efficiencies in the new organisation. While Red Circle’s direct marketing skills will help accelerate the growth of our direct to consumer brands. As the company grows so too does it’s ambition.  It will provide us all with opportunities to further our careers in a successful Irish software company who will be creating new products, developing channels to market and expanding territorially.

We are looking forward to working with our new colleagues in Red Circle and by March we will complete the planning of the integration. During the course of the late Spring and Summer we will complete the re-organisation of the company, culminating in a move to a single location in Dublin.

zamano is back from a successful trip to the World Telemedia Show in Prague.  This month we showcased two new products; z-D8 our new SMS dating application and z-Blog a mobile UGC platform (User Generated Content).  Both were a massive hit especially z-Blog which has already been taken up by clients such as Playboy.

In general these shows are always great for us to check what the competition is up to, to catch up with our customers and to gain insides into new emerging trends and developing markets.  So thanks to everyone who dropped by our stand this year and made this exhibition fun and worthwhile.  We hope to see you all next year and the final word has John O’Shea, who also paid a quick visit on Friday: “Overall, based upon anticipated growth in mobile advertising and UGC I feel that optimism is returning to the space and that people are speaking positively about the future again.”

In a nutshell: Premium SMS is pretty much alive and here to stay for a long time.
